The end of week 29!

Once again I am behind, so I’m actually posting while in my 30th week, but you get the idea….the update will be from last week!

Lisa and Dan tied the knot on Friday July 26th, it was absolutely perfect! The weather was beautiful and the bride was even more beautiful! I really cannot believe she is married already, it felt so far away and now its come and gone, which means Baby Mags is going to be here soooo soon too! Below are a few pictures I will share from the wedding, I just can’t help myself, it turned out so perfect!

Me and my husband!

Proud Dad walking the beautiful Bride down the aisle!
How far along? End of week 29
Total weight gain/loss:  Still up 24 lbs. as far as I know
Maternity clothes?  We know my answer to this one
Stretch marks?  None
Sleep: Sleeping ok. Waking up more in the middle of the night, not really to pee, but just because I am uncomfortable. The belly is getting heavy so even sleeping on my side now requires that I tuck a pillow under me, which isn’t the most comfortable, I’m thinking it may be time for one of those body pillows, but I just hate how much room they take up in bed.
Best moment this week: My sister’s wedding!! It was so much fun and everything was so great! She did such a great job planning everything (with my help of course – yes I’ll take a little credit!) It was a very long day, but due to wedding tradition, I tried not to leave the dance floor too much, and I hardly sat down all night, which I paid dearly for on Saturday, but it was worth it! We had a nice recovery day and by Sunday Dan and I were ready to be productive around the house! We got SO much done in the nursery (which is my second best moment this week). The dresser is now fully assembled, and stocked with some clothes that I got (and bought myself) we put the crib together, and I bought a few more decor things, like some art for the walls and a new table lamp. I’m hoping to do a nursery sneak peak picture soon, but I’m waiting until things are a little more finished, getting so close though!

Miss Anything? The usual….wine, my old summer clothes, sitting, standing and walking normal. Feeling like my old self in general. Growing a human is tough work, I’m so glad there is a finish line for this!

Movement:  I don’t think I even need to answer this question!! Of course there is a ton! Dan and I get a kick out of watching my whole stomach move at night when we’re on the couch. I tried to get a video of it, but it just doesn’t do it justice. Its also so weird when I get lopsided. She still seems to be breech as far as I can tell, with her head on my right side. I’m waiting to feel something different in hopes that she’s flipped over.
Food cravings: Not much, I get full so easily. I guess Ice cream is still a hot item, but I think its every pregnant women’s excuse to just eat all the ice cream she wants!
Anything making you queasy or sick: No
Have you started to show yet: Getting pretty big, not really liking it, ready to put my skinny pants on again! (I am excited to start seeing Fall clothes out in stores, it means I can can shop for my normal size soon hopefully)
Labor Signs: I get a shooting pain on my right side sometimes, especially when she give me a good swift kick, but no labor pains yet. Still terrified to answer yes on this one!
Belly Button in or out? Out, you can now see it in almost everything I wear! It does go flat when I lay in bed though, I think Baby Girl just kicks it out during the day!
Wedding rings on or off?  On, they seem to be feeling a little tighter lately but I don’t plan to take them off unless they hurt me.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! I am so excited to see the nursery take shape, and the closer we get to the shower the more things I am starting to get! Its so fun coming home from work to packages on my door step, gifts for my little girl! Makes everything way more real now that she has a room in the house where there are so many baby things.
Weekly Wisdom: I’m feeling a little run down this week. Got some sort of a bug (sore throat, runny/stuffy nose) I think between the wedding, family in town, and getting so much done around the house I over did it a little bit. I’m trying to take it easy this week, have a big party to go to this upcoming Saturday with friends but I’m only going for the day instead of staying over night. I feel like I may need to just slow down a little and rest, hard to do with so much going on but my weekly wisdom for myself is to just take it easy!

Looking forward to: My Shower in a week and a half, Dan’s dad will be in town for that. Looking forward to seeing a lot of friends and family, that I haven’t seen much this summer!

And here is my photo that I FINALLY remembered to take this week. It is actually a few days into my 30th week, but I don’t think I got that much bigger in a few days! Although at this rate you never know. I feel like a cow!

28 Weeks

Yes I know I’m super far behind! I am not so good at taking the pictures which means I keep putting off posting until I have a picture. I’m doing a 28 week update here, but I don’t have a picture. I will do my 29 week update shortly and I promise to have a photo then!

How far along? 28 weeks
Total weight gain/loss:  Up 24 lbs at my last doctor appointment, which was last Thursday the 18th
Maternity clothes?  Still yes and no on this one. I am finding that they do in fact make maternity clothes for a reason, but I still can’t justify spending money on them!
Stretch marks?  Nope holding strong!
Sleep: Still sleeping really good actually. I don’t even get up to pee in the middle of the night too often. I toss and turn a lot since being restricted to my sides isn’t my preferred sleep position, but in general I can’t complain. Baby Girl likes to move around a lot right at bed time and sometimes that prevents me from falling asleep right away, but I’m usually so tired it doesn’t last long.
Best moment this week: We went camping with friends last weekend and had a really great time! They all have two little ones already so it was a good taste of baby fever! I was a little uncomfortable though since camping chairs and air mattresses aren’t pregnant friendly, but its something we’ve done every year for a few years now and a fun tradition we are starting. I will share a photo at the end of this of our “Then and Now” last year when we went the other two with babies were pregnant, this year it was my turn. Things have changed for us!
Miss Anything?  Being comfortable with normal things, like sitting. I am starting to just feel uncomfortable all the time, sitting, standing, laying…. it all only lasts a few minutes before I need to change position. I am looking forward to getting back to my normal self!
Movement:  TONS!! Movements are so strong now and so frequent, I don’t think she ever stops. We asked the doctor if this was normal and her reply was “An active baby is a healthy baby” So it seems like we just have one active little girl! Just like her parents I guess…. Neither Dan or I can sit still very long!
Food cravings:  Not really, the hungry all the time thing has sub-sided some, I just don’t have room to eat a lot now. My sister’s wedding this week has slowed down my ice cream at night, but other then that I pretty much eat what I want!
Anything making you queasy or sick: No, gagged myself this morning a little bit brushing my teeth, still have a kinda sensitive gag reflex.
Have you started to show yet: Yes! Baby girl is growing perfectly, we had a sono and they took all her measurements of head and belly and everything is right on track, My belly was even measuring slightly ahead! (maybe she’ll be here early!!)
Gender prediction: Its still a girl!! (Our sono confirmed this again on Thursday, lol)
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? Its popped out! Not a lot but you can definitely tell!
Wedding rings on or off?  On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! I am getting tired a lot more easily, and with the heat we’ve had lately its made it hard to breath outside (that and I have a little one squishing my lungs!!) I’ve finally got Dan to start working on the nursery! We’re halfway through putting the dresser together, and we painted. I also got a few shower gifts in the mail, and a whole bunch of clothes were donated to me, so I am little by little working on the nursery! All things to just be excited about! Haven’t gotten to the point of panic over having a baby soon!! I’m sure that will come!
Looking forward to: My Sister’s wedding this week is the BIG one! Also looking froward to my shower that is only 2 weeks away now! I’m horrible at peeking at my registry, but Baby Girl already has some really nice things coming her way, and I can’t wait to start organizing everything in the nursery! She needs so much stuff and I am so grateful and excited for the shower so we can get a little help with all the stuff she is going to need! Man babies are needy!
Below is a creepy picture from our sonogram this week. The tech had a hard time getting a good photo of her, she moves around a lot and she is getting so big that it was hard to capture the whole thing. The picture is of her face (you can kinda see her eyes, nose and mouth even though she’s on her side)…. She is in a Frank Breech position as of now, they are going to keep an eye on her and we’re hoping she flips over on her own by 35 weeks, otherwise we may be looking at a scheduled C-section at 39 weeks.
And to the right is the other picture I promised from our camping trip! This was last years camping trip where the other two ladies were pregnant (Becky and Chris had just spilled the beans to us that weekend) and then our picture from this year, where we’ve added 2 more to our 6 pack and have another on the way!

26 Weeks

Lots of things happening this week!! We started taking our baby classes this week at the hospital. Dan was dreading me dragging him there on a beautiful night, but we actually learned a lot. Covered things like the labor and delivery process, when to go to the hospital, signs of labor etc. We also got to watch a lovely birth video, (made me want a c-section a little more) and also made me a lot more nervous for the whole delivery thing! Yikes! I think I might just cry the whole time. We have two more sessions the next two weeks, but we are all pre-registered at the hospital now and one step closer to meeting Baby Mags!
I also have made some headway on the nursery. Lots of my online orders have been coming in and our trip to Ikea was successful. I got everything I set out for and we even got a rocker for our master bedroom. I put together some of the pieces all by myself, the rest Dan won’t let me do, so I have to be patient and just continue to nag him to do it!
Everything else is going good, the Babe continues to move ALL the time, which is very good, we were supposed to get a sono at my doctors appointment this week, but we’re gonna hold off until 28 weeks. I start going to the doctor every 2 weeks now, but as of Monday I was measuring spot on for 26 weeks and her heart rate was a perfect 150, everything else was great and I must have passed my glucose test because they said they would only call if something was off and I haven’t heard from anyone!
Only 13 more weeks to go! I felt like it was going so slow at first, but all of a sudden now I can’t believe how soon she will be here!!! I would also like summer to slow down a little bit!!

How far along? 26. 4 weeks
Total weight gain/loss:  20 lbs
Maternity clothes?  Some
Stretch marks?  None
Sleep: Sleeping great, really would like to sleep on my stomach again
Best moment this week: Putting together some of the pieces of our nursery, its starting to take shape a little bit! My sister sent out my shower invitations which are adorable and I’m so excited for that! And lastly, our good friend Paul decided to be an awesome friend and purchase us our oh so expensive Breast Pump! Kinda weird coming from him, but I could not be more thankful! It was a good week for “Best moments”!

Miss Anything? I miss being able to do things for myself. There are so many things for the nursery and around the house I want to do, like paint, and I cannot. I am more of the mindset “If you want a job done right, do it yourself”, Its hard to let that one go, even though I know I should be taking advantage of letting people do things for me now.

Movement:  Yes, and even little hiccups, usually 2-4 times a day the movement is very rhythmic… poor thing, I wish I could stop them for her, she starts going crazy in there whenever she gets them.
Food cravings:  Not really any cravings, I feel like my eating is a little more back to normal. I can’t physically eat that much in one sitting, so its lots of small meals. But I’ve been going a little nuts on all the pastas and carbs with all these BBQs and 4th of July parties!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope
Have you started to show yet: Oh yeah
Labor Signs: No and after seeing that video, I don’t ever want to write yes to this!
Belly Button in or out? Depends on the day a little bit, but for the most part its popped out
Wedding rings on or off?  On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! Starting to feel exhausted a little more easily though.

Looking forward to: Another sonogram (for real this time) in 2 weeks! And my sister’s wedding is just 3 weeks away now too, and I’ve managed to keep the weight gain under control so far, which my goal was to not look like a cow in her wedding, so I’m glad its so close now!!

25 Weeks

How far along? 25.4 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 20 lbs.!!! (Dan is dieting and losing weight and I keep gaining, I think I’ll weigh more then him soon! Yikes!)
Maternity clothes? Yes, but my new favorite outfits are long skirts and Target tank tops, neither are maternity, I bought a bunch of each to mix and match, best part is it can all be worn afterwards too!
Stretch marks? Nothing yet, hoping to keep it that way!
Sleep: Sleeping great actually. I really don’t get up all in the middle of the night, toss and turn sometimes, I cannot wait until I can sleep on my stomach again.

Best moment this week: Picked up our crib finally! I put together a closet organizer and got some cute storage bins, the nursery is finally on our radar and we’re hoping to paint sometime real soon!
Miss Anything? Can wine be my answer again?
Movement:Oh yes, the moving is getting stronger. I am pretty sure she is still sideways with her head on my right side and her butt and feet on the left. We’ll see if I’m right at our next sonogram.
Food cravings: If you put food in front of me I will eat eat it! I still am loving the lemonade, but I think that’s because I can’t have any other summer cocktails by the pool so this will have to do!
Anything making you queasy or sick: No, but when I brush my teeth I have a very sensitive gag reflex!
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? Its definitely starting to pop out a little bit, but not super noticeable just yet Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Weekly Wisdom: Walking 30-45 minutes 3-5 times a week feels really great! I wish I was able to run still, but the walking really helps me feel a lot better. It at least makes me feel like I’m doing something healthy despite putting on weight and eating like a truck driver!

Looking forward to: Our sonogram and doctor appointment next week, and continuing work on the nursery. Also looking forward to our trip to IKEA on Sunday!!!

24 weeks and confessions of a pregnant women

24 weeks should be 6 months right? Still feeling good, nothing new to report really, so I thought I’d do a little blurb on random thoughts I have –  my confessions of a pregnant women!

– I still don’t understand why all my life I was told being pregnant is 9 months, but now its actually 40 weeks. Isn’t that 10 months? Don’t get me started!

-This bending at the waist thing is way too hard, I don’t think I’m gonna shave my legs for the rest of the summer (just kidding about this, maybe.)

-I never knew it was possible for my heart to race like I just finished a 5k, only to realize I am sitting still.

-I’ve been strangely resistant to the idea of getting a big belly. and gaining weight, I know it’s inevitable, but I still don’t like it and just think I look fat in everything.

-When she finally is born I’m terrified of the thought of letting other people hold her. I just want her to myself, I don’t like to share!

-We finally picked a name, but we won’t be sharing it with anyone! 🙂 Haha Sorry, this was a tease!

-I am really trying to enjoy every possible minute of being pregnant and not rushing this ahead because everyone just loves to tell us how much everything is going to change and how we’re never going to sleep in again. I really love our life right now, I love that it’s just me and Dan and we do what we do, but I really can’t wait for her to be here either. I am secretly scared that we ruined our perfect life together but I know at the same time that soon I’m going to wonder how we ever lived without her in our life!

That’s all I got for now…. Here’s my 24 week update below:

How far along? 24.5 weeks
Total weight gain/loss:  18 lbs!!! Good god!
Maternity clothes?  Yes but I really hate buying them, knowing its such a short time. I found some long skirts and tanks that I love and are stretchy and have just bought them in every color variation, this will probably be my summer wardrobe.
Stretch marks?  Nope
Sleep: Sleeping very good compared to what I hear from other ladies! I usually wake up between 4-5 to pee, but fall right back asleep.
Best moment this week: I bought paint, light fixtures, bedding and some cute storage systems for the nursery this week! Getting close to starting things in there which I am super exited for!
Miss Anything?  I’ve been pretty good about everything this week
Movement:  Tons! The kicks are starting to get a little more vicious then little flutters
Food cravings:  lemonade is hot right now, I guess becasue I can’t really have any other fruity cocktails
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope
Have you started to show yet: Yes
Gender prediction: Its a Girl!
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? Its starting to pop out a little bit actually
Wedding rings on or off?  On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy
Looking forward to: Another sonogram in 2 weeks!

Here’s a photo at the Color Me Rad 5k fun run we did, forgot to take a regular photo for the week!

23 Weeks

23 weeks and counting!! We had another doctors appointment last week and everything with baby girl looks great! I measured spot on for 22 weeks, and her heart rate was perfect at 150. We will be having another unexpected sonogram next month just to check on her growth, only because I am among the 3% of women who have a heart shaped uterus rather then a pear or balloon shaped one, who knew?! I guess it just gives baby girl less room to grow in to, which is something they will monitor carefully. Of course as soon as she told me this bit of information I went into freak out mode, came home and hopped right on the internet, where they tell you all the best possible, and not at all exaggerated, information regarding something like this (They can’t put anything on the internet that isn’t true right?) I came to find out 1, apparently its difficult to conceive with this “condition”, (could have fooled me) and 2 there is a high risk of miscarriage early on. The only thing we have to worry about now, as long as she continues growing right, is they will have me on watch for early delivery (fine by me) and a breech baby, which would lead to c-section. All this information so far has come from my research and not the doctor, so I think we’ll find out a whole lot more at our next appointment July 1st.  At this point, I am just happy to get another sono, which is just another chance to see my little peanut. Also did I mention early delivery? I will get to meet her sooner!?!

How far along? 23 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 12 lbs. right on track according to the doctor
Maternity clothes?  Yes and No
Stretch marks?  No
Sleep: Sleeping through the night for the most part. Today I woke up at 5am, baby was moving around so much and so strong that there was no going back to sleep. Its now 10am and she has not stopped all morning!
Best moment this week: Feeling her move! Its constant now and Dan can feel any time he tries. She also does this thing where she somehow moves really far forward and we can feel huge hard bumps of her butt and head. Its sometimes very uncomfortable when she moves all my insides around, but it feels like a real baby when she does that.
Miss Anything? Working out!!! I really just want to go for a long run (which I intended to do all through pregnancy and that just was not gonna happen) I just really want to work out and feel like I’m in good shape again, I hate that my heart races just walking up the stairs. I’m committing myself to making sure I walk at least 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week!
Movement: All the time!!!
Food cravings: Getting away from the pop and caffeine now that I found out we’re on watch. Not craving anything, but I eat way more sweets (ice cream) then I ever used to.
Anything making you queasy or sick: No
Have you started to show yet: Yes
Gender prediction: Its a GIRL!
Labor Signs: Nope
Belly Button in or out? Flat.
Wedding rings on or off?  On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!

Looking forward to: Another sonogram again next month

22 weeks

21 down 19 to go! At least my countdown number is finally smaller then how far we’ve come! I think I’ve really started to show these last two weeks and I can feel her kicking around so much constantly, Dan says that he loves that she is just an asshole to me all the time! I guess that’s the next 18 years of my life! He’ll get his payback! 🙂

I found this link on Baby Center that shows the baby’s development in a video form, which is really neat to be able to see what’s going on. I wish we could grow her in little fish bowl on our kitchen counter so we could watch her grow, its really amazing how fast it all happens, she looks like a real human now!
http://www.babycenter.com/2_inside-pregnancy-weeks-21-to-27_10312242.bc

How far along? 22 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: I actually weighed myself this morning and I’m up 11 lbs. waaay more then I thought! This terrified me so I looked up how much weight I should have gained and it says 1-5 in the first trimester and 1 lb. a week every week after! Holy cow! One pound a week?? This seems like a lot to me, but puts me right on track. I hope it comes off just as fast as its going on!
Maternity clothes?  Yes and No. I bought a bathing suit today, a tankini, not really my style and I feel like an old mom in it, but it beats the alternative! No way I’m rocking a bikini any more this summer!
Stretch marks?  No
Sleep: Sleep is my favorite!

Best moment this week: Dan and I went and picked out our glider at Buy Buy Baby this week which was fun when they gave us a fake baby to test out holding! Dan was acting like a 5 year old and kept trying to sneak taking pictures of me! He also enjoyed playing with the leap frog We’re so ready for a child of our own!
Have you told family and friends: Yes
Miss Anything? I am going to miss my bikini this summer, our first summer with a pool too!
Movement:Yep, Dan can feel it all the time, my sister was even able to feel her the other night!
Food cravings: Dr. Pepper, or pop in general. I never used to really drink pop and ever since we came back from vacation I can’t say no to it. Such a bad habit that needs to stop!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope
Have you started to show yet: Yes, definitely filling out and looking very pregnant
Gender prediction: Its a GIRL!
Labor Signs: No, I’m gonna freak out when I actually write yes to this one!
Belly Button in or out? In, but flat feel so funny!
Wedding rings on or off?  On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!

Looking forward to: This question is getting hard to answer now, when the only real answer I have is meeting our little girl!

Sorry no photo this week! I wrote this up and then waited to post until I took one and totally forgot. Now its too late and I’m gonna do my 23 week post soon, so you’ll just have to wait!

-S

20 Weeks – Half way There!!!

We’ve made it to the halfway point and things couldn’t be going any better! We are finally almost done with our kitchen renovation, so we are back to eating better and eating at home! That also means our next project can be to start working on the nursery! It was Memorial Day weekend, this past week, so we had an extra day off of work, which just made me more exhausted because we tried to fit more things in. I went out on Saturday and bought my first real round of maternity clothes, other then just leggings and a pair of work pants! Some I’m not quite ready for yet, but most of its stuff I can wear now and I’ll probably even be able to wear after baby girl comes!

She moves around SOOO much! Dan is finally able to feel it pretty frequently, her kicks can be downright violent, I used to have the nickname Crazy Legs, I think I have another Crazy Legs on my hands!! Yesterday I looked down and could see my tummy move from the outside, weird! I love being able to feel her move all the time, and love it even more when Dan can feel it too!

How far along? 20 weeks (again posting later at 21.3 weeks though)
Total weight gain/loss: I think about 5 lbs. I have my next appointment Thursday June 6, we’ll find out then!
Maternity clothes?  Some yes, I’ll still wear my normal pants with a belly band to work sometimes, I just don’t have the money to start a new wardrobe that I’ll only wear for 4 more months! Its crazy!
Stretch marks?  Nope
Sleep: Sleeping fine still, sometimes if I do wake up its only to pee. Or Because my husband randomly decides at 4:30 in the morning that he’s wide awake and can’t sleep, I think mother nature is preparing him as well.
Best moment this week: Buying some new clothes I guess, the belly is finally popping and looking more preggers then fat which is nice because I’m far less self conscious about having a belly now!
Have you told family and friends: Yes
Miss Anything? For some reason I really wanted the clams and shell fish that everyone cooked all weekend at all our Memorial Day Parties, I don’t even like it that much, I think I only wanted it because I can’t have it!
Movement:  All the time! She’s a squirmmer!
Food cravings:  Not really, Happy to be eating at home again, cooking some of my favorites and not eating out every night.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope
Have you started to show yet: Yes finally!
Gender prediction: Its a GIRL!
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? Still in, kinda flat
Wedding rings on or off?  On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, been very tired lately though
Looking forward to: Finishing our registry this week and starting the nursery, Shower is in 10 weeks!

18 weeks! ITS A ………

This was the week we had been waiting for we FINALLY found out whether our little Baby Mags was a boy or a girl!!!!

ITS A………..

We are so excited to be having a little girl and I’ve already been stocking up on sweet baby girl outfits that I can’t get enough of!
We spilled the news to all our family and friends by hosting a little gender reveal party. I had seen so many things I liked on Pinterest for how to reveal it, but we ended up doing the box of balloons since it seems like the easiest thing to do on short notice, we found out on Thursday and kept the secret to ourselves until Saturday morning. We definitely had everyone fooled, I think almost everyone in the room thought we were having a boy, and had done a pretty good job of convincing me the same.  But we are thrilled beyond belief for a little girl!

How far along? 18 weeks (As usual I’m about a week behind posting this though)
Total weight gain/loss:  up 4 lbs.
Maternity clothes?  Some, still wearing any of my old clothes that I can manage to not look ridiculous in
Stretch marks?  Nope
Sleep: Still sleeping very good actually, usually wake up at least once, but I fall right back asleep
Best moment this week: Finding out our little peanut is a baby GIRL!! The whole sonogram in general was amazing because they put it up on a big screen TV and we watched her move all around for a good 15-20 minutes. She was moving like crazy and the doctor was able to point out all her major organs and everything, crazy to see a little person moving around inside you!
Have you told family and friends:  Yes
Miss Anything?  I miss being skinny, I’m not used to seeing myself with such a tummy, and all my favorite summer clothes no longer fit me!
Movement:  Tons! She moves around like crazy and Dan is finally able to feel it once in awhile. He sometimes isn’t patient enough but he can definitely feel different parts of her when she moves in the right position and we can find a real hard spot or something.
Food cravings:  Jalapenos. I wouldn’t call them cravings but its been the one thing I want to put on everything that I never really used to like.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really.
Have you started to show yet: The belly kinda popped this week. I went from looking a little chubby to being pregnant, I am told that I’m still pretty tiny though!
Gender prediction: Its a GIRL!
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? Still in, but starting to change shape a little bit. The belly button ring came out this week so it feels a little funny.
Wedding rings on or off?  On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, business as usual
Looking forward to: Starting the nursery!! Now that we know the gender I was able to finish our registry and pick out some of the colors we want to use. I just don’t want to go to pink crazy on everything!

17 Weeks

I’m posting a little behind, but here’s my update for 17 weeks!! Baby is moving around a lot now! Dan was actually able to feel it once, he’s not patient enough to feel it more often, since its not moving constantly. But I used to have to sit really still in order to feel it, now I can feel it a little more frequently, like at my desk at work or when in the car. Our 18 week sono is this Thursday and we CANNOT WAIT to find out if its a HE or a SHE!

How far along? 17 weeks, (technically I’m posting today at 18.1 weeks)
Total weight gain/loss: Was up about 3 lbs according to my scale, we’ll see what the doctor says Thursday
Maternity clothes?  Some, Pants Yes! I have a few other things that I wear a lot because they are comfy but I wear my old clothes mostly, as long as they are loose fitting!
Stretch marks?  Nope and we’re hoping to keep it that way! 🙂
Sleep: Sleeping great still, we had our floors refinished at our house this week so I wasn’t allowed to be in there, so we’ve been staying at my sister’s and our friends house, I am sleeping very well considering I’m not in my own bed.
Best moment this week: Had to be when Dan felt the kick. I’ve been waiting for him to be able to feel it too and he felt it once while laying in bed.
Miss Anything?  I was okay this week, I’ve been doing just fine eating everything in sight!
Movement:  Little kicks – they started out feeling like a muscle twitch but now they are actually starting to feel like the baby is doing little somersaults!
Food cravings:  I am obsessed with putting fresh jalapenos on everything right now. I also love the Wegmans real fruit popsicles, pink grapefruit and pomegranate!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really, my vitamins gave me a close call this week when I took them on an empty stomach, won’t do that again!
Have you started to show yet: A little bit, I still think I just look fat but others think it looks like a little baby bump, pretty small still though.
Gender prediction: I have such mixed feelings still since everyone else has an opinion. I’m sticking with boy still so I stay consistent, but we will FINALLY know after Thursday. We’re having a gender reveal party on Saturday for family and close friends who can’t wait to find out too! Dan and I have to keep our little secret for 2 whole days!!
Labor Signs: NO
Belly Button in or out? Innie, I feel like it might stay in?
Wedding rings on or off?  On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!  I was a little crabby this weekend since I wasn’t able to go back into my own house on Saturday when I thought I would be able to, I chalked that up to not sleeping in my own bed, not showering and I was really hungry!
Looking forward to: Finding out the gender this week!!!!!!!!!!!
